Having fallen in love with photography after using my sisters camera on a family overseas holiday, I raced to your typical appliance store the moment we returned from the holiday not knowing a thing about cameras. Using it non stop for a few weeks taking basic images, my love for sport and other passions forced the camera to the back of the cupboard. It wasn’t until many years later, a lifestyle change saw me out adventuring, discovering new places every weekend when I remembered that camera I had purchased still sitting in the back of the wardrobe. I wanted to capture these moments and landscapes so I could look back and cherish these moments of how I felt, forever.

I wanted to inspire people to get out of their house and comfort zone during a time of unrest to explore, to wander, to be out in nature and feel these experiences for themselves like I felt at a time where I was at my lowest. Being behind the lens gave me a sense of purpose and a way to express my feelings. From that moment I rediscovered my camera, I discovered the love for photography. I knew I wanted to learn everything I could. Ever day, ever image, every edit, I learn to understand the art through experimenting and teaching myself. While photography is not my fulltime job, most of my days are spent creating in other ways, working full time with metals, fabricating and welding. I feel this compliments my photography allowing me to continue to use my imagination while also keeping the spark and passion to get out and shoot when I have the chance.

Photography has changed my perspectives on life. Since discovering photography, my life has changed so much for the better and the experiences and people that have entered my life since, I would probably never been introduced to and I cannot imagine my life without it all.
