2026 Tamworth Trail Blazer
The Tamworth Trail Blazer is Tamworth’s premier trail running event with runners racing in 10km, 15km, 30km, 45km and 60km events running, walking and crawling an extremely hilly 15km loop starting from Tamworth’s famous Oxley Scenic Lookout, up Flagstaff, detouring to the infamous Hurcum’s Hill and back. The trail is located less than 5km from the Tamworth CBD and is proudly supported by Intersport Tamworth and Pro Active Physiotherapy.
This years event held on the 22nd March, 2026 on a perfect autumn morning, runners headed out in waves with the 60km runners kicking things off at 6am in the dark of the night to tackle over 4000m of elevation change before a 12 hour time cap.
Run by Warren, Abby and their team of generous volunteers, I happily volunteered my time to capture one of Tamworth’s iconic running events.
